Kylie LaFantano

Alumni/Community Engagement Coordinator

Kylie LaFantano is a dedicated professional in the field of substance use disorder treatment, bringing years of hands-on experience and a deeply personal understanding of recovery. Her journey began in admissions, intakes, and case management—allowing her to see every step of the recovery process, from pre-admission to clinical care and post-treatment housing support.

What truly sets Kylie apart is her lived experience. Having endured a decade-long struggle with addiction, mental health challenges, and the complexities of being an adult child of an alcoholic. She offers a level of empathy and insight that can’t be taught. As an active participant in her own recovery and an alumni of Emory Recovery Center, Kylie understands firsthand the courage it takes to seek help. Through 12-step work and a commitment to personal growth, she has learned how to navigate the many layers of the healing process.

Now working with Emory Alumni and in the community, Kylie combines professional knowledge with empathy and compassion. She is passionate about breaking down barriers that prevent individuals from accessing the treatment they deserve and believes deeply in the power of connection, love, and purpose. Years of sports and extracurricular involvement instilled in her a strong foundation of integrity, persistence, trust, and teamwork—qualities that now fuel her mission to support others.

Kylie’s purpose is clear: to be a bridge between active addiction and lasting recovery. She believes the opposite of addiction is connection, and that connection manifests through love. Her life’s work is a testament to the transformative power of recovery and the light that emerges when we find purpose through service.
