Todd Kerensky, MD, FASAM

Medical Director

Todd Kerensky, MD, FASAM is the Medical Director of Emory Recovery Center.

Dr. Kerensky studied Economics and Finance at Washington University in St. Louis, where he graduated with honors. He later graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Shands Hospital.

Dr. Kerensky worked as a Hospital Medicine physician before completing an Addiction Medicine Fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine/Boston Medical Center. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and The American Board of Preventive Medicine – Addiction Medicine. He is a Past-President of the Massachusetts Society of Addiction Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Dr. Kerensky enjoys helping people achieve durable recovery via patient-centered, individualized treatments typically focused on a triad of: motivational interviewing-based counseling, evidence-backed medications for addiction treatment, and helping people connect to a personalized sober-networking plan. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with his wife and three kids.
